Sineann
Sineann sources fruit from some of the best vineyards in our region; Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from the Willamette Valley and the Hood River Valley, Cabernet, Merlot and Zinfandel from the Columbia Valley, Gewurztraminer from the Willamette Valley and the Columbia Gorge.

Their growers have great pride in the grapes they provide. Almost all their wines are vineyard designated. No expense is spared in the pursuit of great wine. Crop levels are kept very low, one to three tons per acre.

Winemaking is meticulous. All fruit is hand sorted, delicately destemmed, punched down by hand, gently pressed and gravity racked. The wines are aged in new and one year old French oak.

The bottom line is, they strive to make great wine. It's the only kind of wine that makes it onto their dinner table. They believe that food and drink, lovingly prepared, make for happier and healthier people.

Our pal Peter Rosback has struck gold once again with his Resonance Vineyard bottling of pinot noir -- the most popular of his bottlings among OPNC clients. The vineyard is notable for being farmed according to strict and traditional biodynamic principals, as well as for the stereo system that plays positive affirmations to the vines. One may debate the method, but the outcome is unquestionably one of the best sites for pinot noir in Oregon, particularly as realized by Sineann. This bottling received a Wine Spectator 92 Points, with these notes: "A ripe, fresh red, brimming with dark berry flavors that play against hints of loamy earth and black tea as the finely tannic finish lingers.
