Sineann
Sineann sources fruit from some of the best vineyards in our region; Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from the Willamette Valley and the Hood River Valley, Cabernet, Merlot and Zinfandel from the Columbia Valley, Gewurztraminer from the Willamette Valley and the Columbia Gorge.

Their growers have great pride in the grapes they provide. Almost all their wines are vineyard designated. No expense is spared in the pursuit of great wine. Crop levels are kept very low, one to three tons per acre.

Winemaking is meticulous. All fruit is hand sorted, delicately destemmed, punched down by hand, gently pressed and gravity racked. The wines are aged in new and one year old French oak.

The bottom line is, they strive to make great wine. It's the only kind of wine that makes it onto their dinner table. They believe that food and drink, lovingly prepared, make for happier and healthier people.

	Sineann Cabernet Sauvignon Lazare 2006 Price $63.00  $42 / bottle "This unusual offering is a Napa Cabernet made by Peter Rosback of Oregon... vineyard owner Amanda Lazare walked into the the Sineann winery in 2005 and offered her fruit for Rosbacks' interpretation... the result is an interesting and fairly straightforward Napa Cab with few of the Oregon hallmarks (huge oak, almost candied sweetness)... the nose is black cherry with a touch of dust... the flavor profile has some minerality to it but a lush set of blackberry, black cherry and dark fruit aspects... moderate tannins bode fairly well for moderate to extended aging... this one goes down for a few years to see how it evolves... for now its a well made classic Napa Cabernet, albeit a bit pricey for the current level of quality." - Andrew Wells Read More...
