Temperance Hill Vineyard is an old-vine Eola Hills vineyard of significant size, and is utilized by a variety of Oregon producers, most of whom craft single-vineyards wines with the fruit. The fruit is known for a darker berry character, with overt minerality and good structure, capable of making ageworthy wines.

This St. Innocent version is all that, and more. The wine is pure, and fresh, bursting with slightly rustic dark red and juicy blue fruit flavors that are lively on the palate through the lengthy finish. Quite approachable now, this is a great pinot for current drinking, thanks to its juicy and accessible character, but even another few months in bottle will let this open up and display even more charm. This is the one I will drink over the next six months, and take to summer cookouts. Terrific stuff, from a highly respected site.
